SUMMARY
Atlantoraphidia maculicollis has an elongated pronotum, four membranous wings and long needle-like ovipositor in females. It has a adrk, black body with paler red-brown legs, the femora can be very dark in some individuals. Red-brown marks are present on the the pronotum. The abdomen has red-brown markings and yellow marks. A brown coloured Pterostigma is present on all four wings. It has a body length of 9–10mm and a wingspan: of approx. 20mm.
It is widespread across England, Wales and Scotland, but not recorded in Ireland.
