Lacewings and Allies Recording Scheme

covering: Neuroptera, Megaloptera, Raphidioptera and Mecoptera of the British Isles

iRecord is a website for recording wildlife observations (biological records), including photos. To use the site you need to register, which is for free. Once you have registered, you can add your own records, as well as seeing what has been recorded by others. Your records will be sent to an expert for confirmation.
Identification of lacewings and allies to species level is often not possible from photos, but to share photos of the group see the examples on iSpot:

Neuroptera; Mecoptera; Megaloptera; Raphidioptera

The Lacewing Digital Library is a fantastic online resource for all things Neuropterida. It includes a vast bibliograpy of neuropterid publications, information on the neuropterid species of the world, and neuropterid faunas, including Ireland.
