SUMMARY
Subilla confinis has an elongated pronotum, four membranous wings and long needle-like ovipositor in females. It has a dark black body with paler legs. Pale marks are present on the pronotum and abdomen. The pterostigma is a pale yellow colour, and present on all four wings. It has a body length of 7-10mm and a wingspan of 15-20mm.
Widespread, but local, in central, eastern and southeastern England. Not recorded in Wales, Scotland or Ireland.
